Go To Sleep Already and Close Call are a deliberately mismatched pair — earn the first by passing out at 2 AM, the second by just barely not.
Getting "First Place"
Three festivals have a ranked competition you can win (details per festival):
- Spring Festival (Spring 17): gather 50+ Breath of Spring during the three lead-up days.
- Harvest Festival (Fall 10): gather 50+ Queen Berries from Fall 7.
- Animal Festival (Winter 10): enter an animal scoring 65+ points — hearts plus color-tier both count, so a tier-6 seasonal animal at 5 hearts already qualifies.
Both gathering festivals count items collected passively while farming, fishing and mining — start collecting the moment the intro cutscene plays and 50 is very reachable.
Known Issues, With Sources
- Time Flies — was bugged at launch; the official v1.0.2 patch notes state it "now works as intended." If it didn't pop for your child's birthday before that patch, it should populate from your save now.
- Becoming a Familiar Face and First Place — players have reported these not unlocking on the Steam forums. As of patch v1.0.2, neither the official notes nor the community wiki documents a confirmed bug or fix for them, so treat those threads as open reports rather than established mechanics.
- Achievements populate on save load — that's the official retroactive mechanism. If something you've clearly done hasn't popped, loading into the save again is the one step the official notes actually describe.
Do Mods Disable Achievements?
