Seridia: Freeing the Witch Queen
The Dragon Priestess guiding you through the mines is the game's second hidden candidate. Here's how to free her, what she loves, and how her romance works.
⚠️ Heavy Story Spoilers
Seridia's identity is the main story's biggest reveal. If you'd rather discover it in-game, stop here and keep descending the mines — the romance guide covers her spoiler-free.
Seridia
Dragon Priestess · Birthday: Winter 2 · Hidden Candidate
The ghostly Priestess first appears on floor 20 of the mines, guiding you from seal to seal. At the bottom of the Ancient Ruins she reveals her true name: Seridia — the former Witch Queen, and one of the game's two dragons, sealed beneath the world centuries ago by Caldarus and his Dragonsworn.
First impression: regal, sharp-tongued, and grateful — "Right as things were getting interesting!"
How to Free Seridia
Seridia unlocks by completing the entire mines questline — she cannot be courted until the Final Seal breaks. The wiki-documented milestones:
| Floor | Story Beat |
|---|---|
| 20 | "Breaking The Water Seal" — a faint, ghostly Priestess thanks you and asks you to "meet below". |
| 40 | "Breaking The Earth Seal" — she urges you to offer Essence at the broken dragon statue by the mine entrance. |
| 60 | "Breaking The Fire Seal" — a Sealing Scroll trap springs; Caldarus sacrifices power to save you, gaining his human form. |
| 80 | The Ruins Seal — she grants Void Sight, and you break the trapped seal safely with a Void decoy. |
| 90 | The Priestess Quarters — solve the key puzzle and she grants the Sacred Light spell. |
| 100 | The Final Seal — read the Dragonsworn Tablet (with Eiland and Juniper's help), forge the Fang, Horn, Core and Powder at the Dragon Forge, and shatter her crystal. |
After the finale, Seridia settles in her temple at The Western Ruins — that's where you'll find her from then on. The mines guide covers the fastest way down.
How Her Romance Works
Once freed, Seridia romances like the other candidates — she's marked "single", and the wiki's code notes tag her as dateable. At 8 hearts her event "Your Heart Desires" plays at her temple: she offers to grant whatever your heart desires — rule, riches, or magic — and you choose friendship or romance. From 10 hearts (while dating) the standard 1.0 proposal path opens: Elsie delivers the Engagement Ring recipe, and Seridia can be wed like anyone else — dragon wedding included. If you later have a child together, her daughter Brid arrives with little horns, pointed ears and facial markings owed to her draconic heritage.
The full ring-to-wedding checklist lives in the romance guide.
Seridia's Loved Gifts
A former queen expects tribute. Her Loved list is end-game through and through — most of it comes from the Ancient Ruins and the Dragon Forge:
- Dragon Pact Tablet, Hardened Essence, Unknown Dragon Statuette (Archaeology finds)
- Dragon-Forged Core / Fang / Horn / Powder (crafted at the Dragon Forge)
- Perfect Mistril Ore (Ancient Ruins mistril nodes)
- Monster Mash, Spell Fruit Parfait, Queen Berry Pie (cooking)
⚠️ Never Gift Her This
The one item Seridia outright hates is the Statuette of Caldarus — "Have you mistaken that buffoon's visage for mine?" She also dislikes all Dragon Parts ("fragments discarded by my kin"). Caldarus, ironically, loves statuettes of himself — keep them for him.

FAQ
How do you unlock Seridia in Fields of Mistria?
Complete the full mines questline: break the Water (floor 20), Earth (40), Fire (60) and Ruins (80) seals, solve the Priestess Quarters on floor 90, then break the Final Seal on floor 100. Freed, she moves into her temple at The Western Ruins.
Can you marry Seridia?
Yes. After she's freed she can be dated like any candidate: her 8-heart event "Your Heart Desires" offers the romance choice, and from 10 hearts the normal engagement-ring proposal path applies — she even has her own child, Brid, complete with tiny horns.
What gifts does Seridia love?
End-game tribute: the Dragon Pact Tablet, all four Dragon-Forged items (Core, Fang, Horn, Powder), Hardened Essence, Perfect Mistril Ore, the Unknown Dragon Statuette, plus Monster Mash, Spell Fruit Parfait and Queen Berry Pie. She hates the Statuette of Caldarus.
Who is the Priestess in Fields of Mistria?
Seridia herself. The ghostly Dragon Priestess who guides you through the mines is the sealed Witch Queen — you learn her true name when the Final Seal breaks on floor 100.
