Olric is March's friendly younger brother. The two live above the blacksmith shop, having lost their parents when March was young. While March mans the forge, Olric works odd jobs at the forge, the inn, and the general store — which is why you bump into him everywhere.
Gameplay role: early on he sends you on a quest to return a lost miner's pickaxe to Errol at the museum.
The Olric Phenomenon
Spend any time in the community and you'll meet Olric before you even open the game — he's the town's most-wanted unromanceable villager:
- The petitions: Steam forum threads asking for Olric to become a marriage candidate fill up with "+1" replies, and Destructoid even ran a story about the community's demand.
- The fan art: Olric portraits, imagined date scenarios, and "what if he were a candidate" edits are among the most common posts on r/FieldsOfMistriaGame.
- The running joke: "Why can't I romance Olric?" is a community punchline at this point, right up there with wanting more mature romance options in general.
Whether NPC Studio ever promotes him to candidate is anyone's guess — nothing official has been announced. If that changes in a patch, you'll see it in our updates page the same day.
