How to Make More Money in Fields of Mistria
A repeatable money route for each stage of the game, without cheats or made-up hourly rates.
The short answer
Ship items every night, keep one copy of anything needed for the museum or a quest, and spend the rest of the day on the best activity available to you. Early on, forage and short-growth crops keep cash moving. Mining, cooking, ranch products, and higher-value fish become better as their systems unlock.
Where Tesserae come from
The game awards Tesserae for shipping items, defeating monsters, raising Town Rank, completing museum sets and quests, opening treasure boxes, and using certain skill perks. The community wiki's Tesserae record lists the same sources.
Early game: protect cash flow
- Forage on routes you already walk. Free items have no seed cost.
- Plant only what you can water without exhausting the stamina needed for quests and the mines.
- Buy the fishing rod when you can use it regularly, not before a required repair or tool upgrade.
- Check the Request Board. Requests can pay while also raising Renown and friendship.
Crops and cooking
Use the crop table for seed cost, growth time, regrowth, and sell price. Regrowing crops reduce repeated seed purchases, while forage crops start with no seed cost. Before cooking for profit, compare the ingredient total with the dish's sale value in the recipe guide. Some dishes are better kept for stamina or gifts.
Fishing and mining
Fishing turns spare time into sellable items and does not charge stamina until a catch succeeds. The fish guide lists high-value catches and conditions. In the mines, sell duplicate gems and monster drops only after checking the museum and quest requirements.
Before you ship
- Keep the first museum donation.
- Keep tablet, repair, and Request Board items.
- Keep ingredients for a recipe you plan to cook.
- Ship the remaining duplicates before bed.
