Gifts & Friendship

Fields of Mistria Gifts — Complete Gift Guide

Gifting is the fastest way to win hearts in Mistria. Here's how the system works, what everyone loves, and the strategies that save you time and money.

How Gifting Works

Each villager has gift preferences: Loved, Liked, Neutral, and Disliked. Loved gifts give the biggest heart boost; disliked gifts can actually lower friendship. You can give roughly two gifts per week per villager.

Quick Rules

  • One gift per villager per day (two per week is the sweet spot).
  • Birthday gifts give a huge bonus — mark them on the calendar.
  • Festival days often allow extra gifting opportunities.
  • Universal "liked" items (e.g. most cooked food) are safe fallbacks.

Fastest Ways to Raise Friendship

  1. Build a small stockpile of one or two loved items per target villager.
  2. Gift on their birthday — the single biggest boost in the game.
  3. Talk daily to stack friendship between gifts.
  4. Complete quests for them when the bulletin board asks.

💡 Money-Saving Tip

You don't need everyone's perfect loved gift. A well-liked item (easier to craft or forage) is almost as good and far cheaper. Save your rare items for birthdays and for the 12 romance candidates.
